Morgan contacted us asking if we could create a spectacular Vodka Luge for the Charity Ball he was organizing. The theme was '1920's'.
"What can you carve for us with this theme?"
The answer from us was simple - 'what would you like?'
Over the years we have carved many Vodka Luges and Ice Sculptures based on the 1920's theme from: The Great Gatsby to Tommy Guns to prohibition barrels of beer to...Fred and Ginger dancing.
Morgan after discussing and providing ideas and suggestions sent us almost at the last minute a black and white picture of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dancing.
"Can you reproduce something like that?" he asked.
"Yes" was our answer. Umpteen hours later a two-ice block piece emerged of the two dancers in an embrace carved and ready to grace the dance floor. The detail of the piece right down to the finger nails was incredible and stunning.
This Vodka Luge could only be created from two ice blocks. As a Charity Ball, Morgan had planned to 'sell shots' and have a few 'games' with the Luge to raise additonal funds. From all accounts it was a roaring succesful! (sorry about the pun!)
